Sexual abstinence and mutual fidelity are effective strategies for the prevention of HIV/AIDS. When used properly, the use of a condom is a highly effective method of preventing most sexually transmitted infections.

WEAR A CONDOM BEFORE INTERCOURSE!


Check expiry date. DO NOT pull the condom before putting it on. Pinch the tip of the condom to remove air.









Unroll the condom to the base of the erect penis. If the penis is uncircumsized, pull the foreskin back before putting on the condom.









After ejaculation and while the penis is still erect, hold the rim of the condom against the base of the penis while withdrawing. This will prevent condom slippage and spillage of semen.








When the penis is clearly away from your partner's genitals (after withdrawal), slowly slide the condom off the penis without spilling semen.







Dispose of used condoms properly. NEVER reuse it!







If lubrication is needed, use water-based lubricants like EZ Lubricating Jelly. DO NOT use oil-based lubricants like baby oil, petroleum jelly or skin lotions as those can damage and even destroy the condom.
